The 'Grupo Enmanuel' community bank is located in San Juan, in Guaranda canton. The 17 members of this group work in short-cycle agriculture, growing corn, wheat and potatoes in large quantities. They also raise animals such as pigs and hens. Carmen is a farmer who grows corn. She also raises pigs and hens. She buys her animal feed in 'Comercial Silva' every weekend and sells her products in the 'Feria de los Jueves' market in Guaranda. Carmen is requesting this loan to grow corn, wheat and potatoes, and to buy animals. She will also buy feed supplies and supplies for her crops.
