Maria Francisca's story

Maria Francisca R. R. is 27 years old. She is divorced, she ha s3 children and she lives with her single children in Guaranda, a canton of the Bolívar province.

She is a member of the V.R.C. Grupo Enmanuel, a village bank located in San Juan, a precinct of the Guaranda canton. This bank has 17 members who work as farmers engaging in cultivating short cycle varieties of maize, wheat and potatoes in large quantities, as well as in breeding of animals such as pigs and hens.

Maria engages in agriculture, growing maize and breeding pigs and hens. She buys the products to feed his animals in the Comercial Silva every week-end, and he sells his animals every Thursday in the Guarada fair.

The loan she is requesting will be used to sow maize, wheat and potatoes, to purchase animals, and to buy feeding and cropping supplies. The loan will economically help her fulfilling her needs, facing challenges such as pests, plant illnesses and climate changes. She dreams of owning a house.

She enjoys taking part in the canton’s celebrations.
