A loan of $375 helped to buy sacks of organic manure.

Naise's story

Naise is 19 years old. She works hard to support her parents Oscar and Luz who she loves very much, and also her brother Lenin. They live together peacefully as a family in their own home which is located in the village of Cayan. In spite of her young age, Naise has managed to acquire not only the experience she needs to ensure good harvests but also her own farmland where she grows potatoes, corn and peas. What she most likes about her work is being able to work for herself.

Naise also owns a grocery store where she sells essentials such as sugar, milk, eggs and other food products. She tells us that she sells an average of 60 Peruvian soles' worth of goods every day. The main difficulty she faces in her business is that of working capital since, in order to make immediate profits, she has to stock her store with a range of products. Most of her money is tied up in her farming.

Naise's dream is to create a big, well-stocked store for the residents of her village. She belongs to the "Siempre Juntos" (Always Together) community bank and this is her first loan with MFP. She is grateful for the opportunity that they have given her to carry out her plans. Naise is getting prepared for the harvesting of her corn crop at the beginning of March. She will use her loan to buy several sacks of manure which she hopes will allow her to obtain good profits.
