A loan of $575 helped to buy food items (sugar, noodles, eggs, baked goods, etc.) and stationery shop items.

Silvina's story

Silvina has been a merchant for over 5 years. She has a well stocked store in Coronel Oviedo’s 1 de Marzo neighborhood.

She’s been married to Aníbal for 18 years and they have three children. She comments that the best way to get ahead is to respect yourself and help each other in the family. Together they run their own businesses: Silvina her small general store and Aníbal his small hotel. However, whenever a problem arises they try to solve it together.

Silvina is grateful to Fundación Paraguaya for the trust it’s placed in her and the opportunity for credit support it’s providing. She assures that she will invest her loan well buying food items (sugar, noodles, eggs, baked goods, dairy products, etc.) and stationery shop items in order to obtain better profits with more production and be able to repay the loan in a timely fashion thus being able to continue working with the institution.
