Sonk Sounou Serigne Group's story

The solidarity group SONK SOUNOU SERIGNE was founded in 2006. It is made up of 15 women from the same village. The group has come together as neighbors and friends. They support each other very much and share the same calling to develop their village. The group is a part of the Banc Villageois of KEUR MBAR.

Mrs. YACINE D. (on the right, in dark red) is the leader of the group. She is 44 years old, married and has four children.

She grazes cattle. She buys cattle at the weekly markets and grazes them for at least five months before selling them. Her husband supports her in the business.

The loan of 250,000 CFA francs will allow her to purchase two cattle and carry out her grazing project.

Her goal is to help her husband with the family expenses such as food, health care and their children's education.
