A loan of $1,200 helped to purchase seeds for her crops and to buy food for the animals.

Flor Civilina's story

Flor Civilina G. C. is 26 years old, has a common-law marriage and 2 children. She lives with her husband and children in Bolívar Province.

The members of CALZADO SOLIDARIO [Calzado Solidarity] communal bank live in Calzado Recinto in San Miguel Canton, a half hour from the Cooperativa office. The 12 members of this group do short cycle agricultural work, planting corn, potatoes and beans, and raise farmyard animals and cattle.

Flor does agricultural work growing corn, potatoes and beans, and raising farmyard animals. She purchases her products in the San Miguel market each week and sells them at the Thursday market in San Miguel.

She is requesting the loan to purchase seeds for her crops and to buy food for the animals. The support of this loan will help her financially meet her needs, and face challenges such as insect infestations, illnesses, and the vagaries of the weather. Her dream is to have her own house.

She likes that her loan amount can be higher so she can purchase more supplies.
