A loan of $1,200 helped to buy crop seed and feed for farm animals.

Jorge Edgardo's story

Jorge Edgardo C. G. is 79, is married and lives with his wife and five children in the province of Bolívar. The members of V.R. C CALZADO SOLIDARIO live nearby in the town of el Calzado, Cantón San Miguel; these 12 farmers grow corn, potatos, beans and raise domestic animals. Jorge makes his living from agriculture and grows corn, potatoes, beans and has farm animals as well. He buys products in the market of San Miguel each week and brings his products for sale on Thursdays in the same market. Jorge requests a loan in order to buy crop seed and feed for farm animals. This credit will help him economically to meet expenses, and to confront difficulties such as insects, disease and climate unpredictability. He hopes to be able to continue working and provide for the needs of his children.
