A loan of $1,200 helped to purchase seeds for planting and feed for her animals.

Julia Beatriz's story

Julia Beatriz C. C. is 52 years old, married, and lives with her husband and three children in Bolivar Province.

The members of the Communal Bank “Calzado Solidario” gather in the precinct of Calzado in the canton of San Miguel, which is located thirty minutes away from the office of Cooperativa San Jose. This Communal Bank consists of twelve members who grow short cycle crops such as corn, potatoes, and beans, as well as raise poultry and cattle.

Julia is a farmer who grows corn, potatoes, beans, and raises poultry. She buys her supplies at the market in San Miguel each week and then sells at the fair in San Miguel on Thursdays.

Julia is requesting a loan to buy seeds for planting crops and feed for her animals. The support from this loan will help her financially so that she can acquire what she needs. Her challenges are pests, diseases, and changes in weather. She dreams of providing her children with an education so that they can become professionals.

Julia likes the fact that the loans have helped her buy necessities and continue supporting her in this manner.
