A loan of $1,650 helped a member to purchase starch, milk, cheese, flour, and other ingredients for making cheese bread.

Mujeres Valientes Group's story

The committee “Mujeres Valientes” (Valiant Women) started as a result of promotional events that were conducted in the neighborhood. All of the members know one another and are neighbors from the same area of San Ignacio. The goal of each member is to work as a team and form a spirit of solidarity so that they can reach the highest level within the program.

Sra. Feliza C. was the first member who was interested in participating in the program. She works as a domestic employee, but wants to work on her own and be independent so that she can stay at home while she works. Feliza will put forth her best effort to see that her committee succeeds and moves forward. The idea she would like to carry out is to establish a “chiperia”, a bakery that produces and sells traditional Paraguayan cheese bread, with her fellow group members.

In this group: Wilma, Dorys, Feliza, Veronica, Myrian, Guillermina, Monica, Rosa, Monica, Virginia, Maria Victoria, Hermelinda, Carolina, Edita, Rafaela
