My name is Balqees M. B.. I am married and a mother of nine: six daughters and three sons. I could not send my children to school because of our poor financial circumstances. My husband used to make kites but after the government banned the business we had to face very difficult times. Then two years ago, my husband started another business of selling spices via his bicycle by acquiring a loan from Asasah, a microfinance institution. Our business does well and we would like to have another loan to make our business even better. I plan to save the extra income for my daughters' weddings.
