A loan of $475 helped to buy supplies for making bread.

Ana Maria's story

Ana Maria is 55 years old and lives in Ticuantepe. She is a single mother and has four children who are grown up and independent. One of her daughters supports her with the household expenses and in her business. Ana Maria's plan for the future is to improve the infrastructure of her business. For ten years, she has been selling baked goods such as 'rosquillas' (a type of doughnut), bread, 'picos' (mini breadsticks), etc. The biggest difficulty that she faces is the rise in the price of products such as flour, eggs and milk. This means that she has to make things a little smaller and accommodate her customers so that she doesn't have to stop selling. Ana Maria started her business through her own efforts. She would like this loan to buy sacks of flour, containers of oil, sugar, yeast, baking powder, corn, etc.
