A loan of $1,900 helped a member develop and promote her small business activity.

Thiaat Group's story

The Tiaat solidarity group was created three and a half years ago. It is composed of 15 women, all from the same neighborhood. They are linked by ties of neighborhood, kinship and affinity. The group is part of the Nob Sa Jeker “Banc Villageois”.

Ms. Aida S. (standing right of the photo in black pants and pink sweater) is responsible for the group. She is 25 years old, married and the mother of one child.

She runs a small trade of incense and perfumes. She gets her supplies either from Touba (approximately 50 km) or from the capital of Senegal (Dakar).

Her new loan will enable her to improve her small business activity and promote it.

Her objective is to reinforce her savings at the “Banc Villageois” and support her husband in taking care of their family.
