A loan of $500 helped to purchase corn, firewood, oil, banana leaves, chicken and condimients.

Maria Cristina's story

María is 66 years old and lives in San Miguel with her husband, son, and granddaughter. She works selling tamales and vegetables, a trade which she learned from her mother. She started the business out of her own initiative and she has worked every day from 5am to 4pm for the past five years.

She is requesting a loan for the purchase of corn, firewood, oil, banana leaves, chicken and condiments. These are the products that she uses when making tamales, which is why this investment will be a great help to her so that she will have everything necessary to make her sales and increase her production.

María’s goals are to maintain her business and to always have income to cover her and her family’s expenses.
