Jose Luis's story

José Luis is 28 years old. He is originally from Nueva Segovia department but currently lives in Estelí. He is married and has two children aged 9 and 1. He owns a grocery store and has been in the business for 3 years.

José Luis set up his business with his own capital and gradually stocked his store. He was 25 when he started the business, having previously been employed as a worker in a company. José Luis' wife helps him to serve in the business. They provide their services to people who work in the local cigar factory and support each other in serving the customers. They have hopes that their business will prosper and gain a better inventory of products that people regularly buy.

José Luis is requesting this loan so that he can buy essential food products such as meat, basic grains, bread and vegetables. He thereby hopes to increase his number of customers and also his sales. One of his future plans is to convert his business into a mini-supermarket that sells all kinds of products. His next goal is to save enough money so that he can pay for his [9-year-old] eldest daughter's medical treatment and continue to invest in his business.
