A loan of $375 helped to stock up on beauty products.

Lisbeth's story

Lisbeth is a happy 21 year old woman. She and her husband Hilder recently celebrated the arrival of their firstborn daughter, whom they have still to name. But they vow to love and care for her in their home in the community of Guacamayo (in the central Peruvian forest).

A few days ago, God blessed Lisbeth with the birth of her daughter. Her priority now is to look after her baby. Laughing, she says she plans to call her Prisma. Thinking of her baby’s future, she wants to start planting her farm land. For the immediate future, she will continue working hard, as she has done for the past 2 years, in selling beauty products, perfumes, and all types of cosmetics. The money she earns is added to the money earned by her husband, who works on a citrus fruit farm and is paid weekly. With both streams of income they hope they can achieve their goals. Lisbeth belongs to the “New Dawn of Guacamayo” communal bank. This is her first loan with [field partner] MFP, and she is happy to be able to be part of an association that promotes the progress and development of its members. Lisbeth always tries out the offers that cosmetic companies bring her, so as to have a stock. With the loan she is planning to buy a variety of products for the approaching summer season.
