Danyoon's story

Danyoon is 26 years old. He lives together with his mother Betty, with his father Dany, and his younger siblings, whom he supports financially. His house is located in the community of Guacamayo (central Peruvian jungle). For the past 4 years he has been growing citrus fruits such as: oranges and tangelos. He has recently done his plantation on a hectare of agricultural land that was inherited to him by his parents. Due to the great attention he is able to sell his products to the wholesalers that visit his plantation. He is in the full harvest of fruits that are already ripe in order to carry out an initial sale.

Ever since he was a child he has loved music, so he has been playing piano at various cultural events for the past 15 years.

He is a member of the communal bank named "Nuevo Amanecer de Guacamayo", meaning "A New Dawn of Guacamayo", and it is the first loan he has with MFP (Kiva Field Partner). He is one of the youngest members of their group. Danyoon constantly attends to his harvest and although he doesn't have very much time, he plans on purchasing various sacks of organic fertilizer to spread throughout his citrus plantation.
