Bashraan's Group's story

Bashraan lives in Lahore, which is Pakistan’s second-largest city and known for its history and culture. She has lived with her family in a 2-room brick house in the area of Youhanabad for the past 15 years.

Her husband’s name is H. M. and he operates an electronics sales shop. He sells different electronics items like juicers and irons on installments to his customers. By selling products on easy installments, people are able to buy goods that they can’t afford to buy with cash outright.

Bashraan is the mother of 2 daughters and a son. Her eldest daughter operates a beauty salon at home and her other children are getting their education. Bashraan herself is a housewife who stays at home and does her household responsibilities. She is a very caring mother and is raising her children with good care. She has applied for a loan from Kiva partner Asasah for her husband, who wants to buy some electronics to put to his shop to sell on installments to his customers. He has operated this business for the past 10 years and Bashraan is hopeful that an investment will be profitable one for him.

Bashraa is a new loan applicant of Asasah. She is hopeful about her family’s better financial future.
