Lidia's story

Sra. Lidia is a member of the Communal Bank “Nueva Victoria – Chinchero” which is located in the District of Chinchero, Urubamba Province, Department of Cusco.

She is 35 years old, in a common law marriage, and has three children (ages 12, 10, and 1). Lidia is an artisan who makes fabrics out of alpaca wool. Since 2000, she has been making and selling fabrics to all the tourists who visit the beautiful town of Chinchero. Lidia wants to invest her loan in the purchase of materials. She plans to buy alpaca wool, natural dyes, synthetic wool, sheep’s wool, knitting needles, buttons in all sizes, darning needles, and other supplies used for sewing and weaving. Lidia is requesting a loan to invest in the purchase of these materials for making fabrics.

She is happy with the loan being provided and promises to complete her payments on time.
