Razia's Group's story

Razia lives in Lahore, which is Pakistan’s second largest city and known for its history and culture. She lives there in the area of Yohanabad with her family in a 2 room brick house. She moved there 7 years ago. She is the mother of 3 daughters and 2 sons. All of them stay at home and don’t do anything. Razia is unable to give them an education due to financial constraints.

Her husband’s name is K. and he is involved in a construction business. Basically, he is a mason by profession and offers his services of construction to builders by constructing homes and buildings.

Razia operates a clothes sewing business at her home. She is very good at her work and receives regular orders from her neighboring clients. She started this business part time in order to share the financial burden with her family and it has worked well for her since then.

She has applied for a loan from Kiva partner Asasah for the betterment of her husband’s business. With the loan, he will buy masonry tools, which will help him to complete his work effectively and make extra income. He has been operating this business for the past 10 years and Razia is hopeful that a loan investment will be more profitable for him to earn better profits.

She is a new loan applicant of Asasah.
