A loan of $850 helped to buy food stall utensils.

Floria's story

Mrs. Floria is a member of the "Nuevo Edén" communal bank in the district of Yarinacocha, which is in the department of Ucayali. She is 60 years old and a single mother of three children, one of which lives with her. She has a food stall in the Yarinacocha market which she runs in the morning. In the afternoon she does the shopping to buy the ingredients she needs to prepare the meals the next day. With the loan she has requested in the amount of 2,300 PEN she will buy: 2 dozen plates, a shelf for softdrinks, 1 dozen glasses, 1 dozen cups, 1/2 dozen half liter plastic jugs, 1 skimmer, 1 gas balloon, 1 set of collanders, 1/2 dozen dryers, 2 serving dishes. Mrs. Floria is happy with her work and is always smiling as her customers come by to taste the dishes she prepares. She is grateful for the capital to continue working so she can make an income to cover her expenses and timely payments to Manuela Ramos.
