A loan of $1,000 helped to buy dyes and other beauty products.

Marcia Patricia's story

Marcia C. is a member of the Mujeres de Combate (Women of Battle) communal bank. She lives in the Baños parish. This parish is known for its thermal waters, its delicious gastronomy, and its beautiful scenery. Marcia is 30 years old, married, and has three children. Her first child is six years old and goes to school. The two youngest are three year old twins. Her husband is a driver, and he works with his own taxi. They do not have their own house, so they live in a relative’s house. Marcia is a stylist, and she learned this profession by studying. She has been practicing this profession for 14 years. She is a complete professional, and she has her own place of business. She works every day from eight in the morning until six in the evening. She will use the money from the loan to buy dyes and other products that she needs for her cabinet. This is her second loan in the communal bank. She likes the bank because she has a lot of good friends. Her goal is to have her own house.
