Luz Elena's story

Luz Elena S. M. is 34 years old. She is a very responsible woman who works hard making pupusas, a traditional Salvadoran dish that is in great demand. Luz lives with her mother in San Alejo in the Department of La Unión. Pupusas are a dish made from cornmeal or rice and filled with pork, cheese, and beans.

This business has enabled Luz and her mother to move forward. For this reason, she is requesting a loan so that she can buy a greater quantity of supplies for making more pupusas. In this manner, she hopes to increase her earnings since this will be of great benefit to her family.
