A loan of $400 helped a member to buy milk, sugar, and cocoa in bulk.

Conaky Traders Group's story

These people run small businesses in Makeni, a city in northern Sierra Leone. They have come to SMT, a partner of Kiva.org, to seek their second loan in order to enable them to expand their businesses. With this loan, they will be able to add more stock to their businesses, make more sales, and more profits. Consequently, they will be able to improve their standard of living by sending their children to school, feed and clothe them.

Fatmata S. is the leader of this group. She was born in Makeni 29 years ago. She is married and has four children. Fatmata sells milk, sugar, and cocoa. With her share of the loan, she will expand her business by purchasing these products in bulk.
