Epifania's story

Epifania, 28, is a single mother. She lives with her son in her own house. She learned farming when she was very young, planting and harvesting potatoes and other crops, all thanks to her father who was a farmer. Farming has become her main source of income now. She plants potatoes, olluco, maize and beans because there's a lot of demand for them. She also sells what she grows in her own shop. She says that she likes farming because it is what she knows best, even though it requires much sacrifice. She has to get up at dawn every day to work her fields but it's worth the effort at harvest time. She takes her crop to market and sells to the wholesalers there who pay her with real money! She, in turn, uses the money to provide a better quality of life for her child. Epifania is an enterprising woman and she wants to plant more crops in the future and increase her production. She also wants to stock her store with various products because, she says, the business is very profitable. This is Epifania's second MFP loan. She has a history of replaying past loans on time and she is grateful for your help. She will use the loan to buy products for her store that she will then resell.
