Dana's story

Dana is 27 years old and she lives with her parents in a house belonging to a member of their family. She has been dedicated to agriculture for a long time, but last year she opted to start a career as a cook. She believes that the profession will open up many opportunities. Today she sells prepared foods, a business that has brought her a great deal of satisfaction. She also cultivates potatoes, corn, and onions. They are the products that are harvested in about 6 months. She loves to cook and she sees it as her vocation and it also generates a good source of income. For this reason she hopes to have her own restaurant in the future, selling traditional foods from the region while holding only the highest standards in quality to provide for the tourists that visit the city. It is her second loan with MFP (Kiva Field Partner) and she is very happy to know she has this source of financial support. She has demonstrated to be responsible with her payments and she is thankful to all those individuals who will contribute towards her loan. It will be very useful in the development of her business. The loan that she requests will be used to purchase some kitchen implements that she needs to prepare foods, including pans, pots, spatulas, and cutlery. She will also invest in her agriculture business by purchasing sacks of fertilizer.
