A loan of $900 helped purchase compost & insecticides.

Epifanio's story

Epifanio, age 41, is a kind and hardworking gentleman. He lives in his own home with his wife Elida, age 35, and their four beloved children for whom he wants to provide a better quality of life. Epifanio invests a great deal of effort planting in his fields, which are the main source of sustenance for his family. His products are in great demand at the wholesale market in Tarma and he has earned a reputation for producing crops of good quality, thus enabling him to sell at very good prices. What he enjoys most about his work is caring for his crops and protecting them from insects that can have a negative impact. Epifanio has been farming for 26 years and considers the most difficult part to be tranporting sacks of potatoes, peas, and beans because they are extremely heavy and the work is tiring. Going forward, he hopes to buy additional farmland so that he can increase his production.

This is his fourth loan with MFP. Epifanio knows that the loan will be beneficial to the development of his business. In his Communal Bank, Epifanio is a cheerful member who always tries to keep the meetings organized. The loan of 2500 PEN that he requested will be used to buy compost and insecticides to help keep his farmland productive.
