A loan of $300 helped to purchase fertilizers.

Jackeline's story

Jackeline is an enterprising woman of 36 years of age. She lives with her husband and 2 children in their own house. For the past several years she has been selling grains, such as corn, barley, peas, beans, quinoa, and harvest products, sometimes purchased by the neighbors. She also owns dairy cows that produce milk to generate an extra income. She has had this business for three years. The days when she sees the highest sales are on Wednesdays and on the weekends. She tries to always know the prices by the competition to secure her sales. This work is essential to support her family and that’s why she hopes to produce at a greater rate and to become a wholesaler. This is her third loan with MFP (Kiva Field Partner) and she is very happy to know she has this source of financial support. She has always demonstrated to be responsible with her payments and she also enjoys partaking in her communal bank because all of the other members are responsible and very caring people. She is thankful to all those individuals who will contribute to the loan she requests. It will be very useful for the progress of her business. With the help of the loan she requests she will be able to purchase sacks of fertilizers for the sowing season that is currently taking place.
