Baktykan's Group's story

Baktykan A. is the leader of this group. She is a resident of Uzgen, a nice, ancient town in the south of Kyrgyzstan. She is 49 and unfortunately she is a widow. She has raised five children: three daughters and two sons. The daughters are married and the sons are working in Russia. In order to earn money to meet her personal needs Baktykan breeds livestock and cultivates agricultural products. She started this activity three years ago with the initial investment of 10,000 KGS. Now she earns 5,000 KGS per month. With money received from the loan, she plans to purchase mineral fertilizers for farming. In the future she wants to improve the family’s living conditions.
