Sok's story

Sok Y., a sixty-eight year-old resident of Kompong Tom Province, possesses a plot of farmland upon which she grows rice. She is married to Mr. Ou Ken, age 72, who also earns his living as a local farmer. They are blessed with four children, one of whom is a blacksmith worker, another a sewing worker, while the other two are married.

Sok is concerned because one of her sons has encountered some financial problems in his business. She is therefore requesting a loan to purchase iron for her son to weld in his window construction and sales business.
