A loan of $1,200 helped operational capital for farming.

Felix's story

This borrower is 32 years old and has lived in the Entre Ríos area of the Tropic of Cochabamba for the past three years.

Felix came to the tropic from the Charcas province in the Department of Potosí for better work opportunities, as the common products in his community are more and more expensive because of the climate and they can barely survive.

He indicates that he had come to the tropic with some clothing and a little money. There, he helped carrying seasonal fruit to the intermediaries who sell it in the cities of Santa Cruz and Cochabamba. He also still continues to work supporting other pieces of land. He is a very dynamic person.

Over time, he saved little by little and bought a piece of farming land and planted crops like bananas and annual crops like rice and yucca. Now he is requesting a loan to continue expanding his banana plantation so that he can make a higher income. In the future, he wants to buy a vehicle to be able to transport his crops and not depend a lot on public transportation.
