Sabaly Group's story

The group SABALY has five members who are married women. They all have around 42 year-old and about 4 children. Most of them live within polygamous families in Kamalen Sirakoro district in the city of Sikasso. Sikasso is the third administrative region of Mali. The women are applying to their twelfth loan with the microfinance institution Soro Yiriwaso to meet the needs of their clients. Their previous loans have been paid off. In this group of women, Madam Marietou S. sells fish to men and women. She is planning on buying 75Kg of fish with the loan. She gets her supplies at Sikasso's main market. She sells fish for cash at Medine's market in Sikasso and with her family in Kamalen Sirakoro. She plans of making a monthly profit of 55.000CFA. A part will be use to pay her family's daily expenditures, the other part will be saved.
