A loan of $500 helped to invest in his agriculture business.

Emilio's story

He is 32 years old and he lives in the municipality of Entre Rios in the region of Cochabamba. He started working at a very young age with his father, as a farm hand for his father's land. He came to learn how to cultivate pineapples.

Emilio became independent at a very young age, after the passing of his father. He was forced to work along in his father's plantation. Later he married and had a son but he separated. Together with his son he was able to pull through. He didn't have any other choice but to keep working hard and to not have his son want for anything. Currently he is coming out of the time of crisis.

The loan that he requests will be used to expand pineapple production, more specifically to purchase seedlings. Emilio needs this support in order to expand and improve production. His life-long dream has been to have a large pineapple plantation and to be one of the best pineapple producers in the region. Pineapple is in great demand. With the help of this loan his business will continue to grow.
