Migombani Group's story

Maria N., who is in her late thirties, is married with three children. She has been selling food and has a chicken business as well. She has been in these businesses for three years and works from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily. She is able to make a good monthly profit.

This will be Maria's fourth loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to increase the stock of her food and to start selling chicken. She has paid back her previous loans successfully. She hopes for a loan to increase the stock of her food business. Her dream is to expand her chicken business premises.

Maria will share this loan with her loan group Migombani, which has a total of 19 members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable in paying back their loans.
