Sop Serigne Fallou Group's story

The solidarity group SOP SERIGNE FALLOU was created on December 30, 2009. It is composed of 41 women who are from the same village. They are united by ties of kinship, community, and affinity. Their main businesses include the processing of peanut oil, small-scale commerce, and the raising of livestock. The group is part of the Banc Villageois of KEUR NDIAGNA SAOUDA.

Ms. NIAMA S. (standing at the far right in the photo and wrapped in a white scarf) is the group’s leader. She is 48 years old, married, and the mother of two children. Those who are near and dear to her have entrusted her with four children to support.

She has a refrigerator, which enables her to make natural fruit juices, ice cream, ice, etc. She also sells soap and a few vegetables. She has been in this business for over four years.

Her current loan will enable her to improve her small-scale business and to advance it. Her goal is to bolster her savings in the Banc Villageois with the goal of expanding her commerce.
