Isabel Reyna's story

Isabel is a member of the Communal Bank “María Asunción Galindo” which is located in the District of Juli, Province of Chucuito-Juli, Department of Puno. She is 32 years old, married, and has two children. Isabel was able to complete her high school education.

She raises chickens and engages in this business with the rest of her family. Isabel also makes handicrafts, primarily woven shawls and embroideries. She has been working with Manuela Ramos for twelve years. The first loan she requested was in the amount of 300 PEN, which she used to purchase yarn and wool for making her embroideries.

Now she is requesting a new loan in the amount of 1000 PEN. The money will be invested in the purchase of 30 dozen chicks and poultry feed. Her dreams include buying a plot of land in the city of Tacna and continuing to work in her business. What she enjoys most about the Communal Bank is being able to work as a team.
