Mwanamvua is a married woman with five children, four of whom attend school. She owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is school fees.
She has operated a retail business for the past one year, operating from home to sell to her neighbors and passersby. Mwanamvua faces a major challenge of the high cost of transportation in her business. She hopes to operate a wholesale shop in the future.
With the 25,000 Kenyan shillings, she wants to purchase two sacks of rice and coconuts for sale. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
