A loan of $2,925 helped a member to buy vegetables, and sheep for fattening.

Bokk Diom Group's story

The BOKK DIOM solidarity group was created on December 30, 2009 at the first funding of the Banc Villageois of DIADIORDE, to which it belongs. It is composed of 15 women from the same village who are united by ties of friendship, sisterhood and affinity.

Mrs. KINE S. (standing at the far right in the photo) is the leader of the group. She is 41 years old, married and the mother of eight children.

She sells vegetables at the grand marketplace of her village. She also fattens sheep, an activity she has been practicing for about 20 years.

Her new loan will allow her to better develop her business in order to increase her profits. Her goal is to provide for her children’s needs and support her husband with the family’s financial responsibilities.
