Mujeres Trabajadoras Group's story

“Mujeres Trabajadoras” (Women Workers) is known as an excellent group of women who joined together in the city of Ita on May 5, 2010. This group was formed as a result of the current committee president contacting a counselor at a weekly meeting that was conducted in the area. She learned about the work that is required by the Committee of Women Entrepreneurs Program. Once she was advised about the requirements of the program, she was able to gather 15 women who are starting their first loan cycle.

Sra. Teresa is married and has three children. She has managed a food pantry out of her home for two years. Her goal is to stock her business with all types of basic necessities for her customers who frequent her business. She is requesting a loan so that she can accomplish this goal.

In this group: Teresa, Yolanda, Mirian, Lidia, Maria, Olga, Margarita, Maria, Mirian, Damiana, Aida, Celica, Juliana, Ramona, Venancia*
