Sop Serigna Fallou Group's story

The solidarity group SOP SERIGNE FALLOU was created one year and a half ago. It is made up of 15 women who are from the same village. They came together as neighbors and by affinity. Their main activity is small-scale retail. The group is a part of the "Banc Villageois" of DIADIORDE.

Madam Awa B., standing on the far right end of the picture, is in charge of the group. She is 49-years-old. She is married and the mother of 8 children. She also takes care of her grand-daughter.

She runs a small business selling vegetables and fresh fish. She stocks up in the nearby villages and sells in the village.

With her new loan, she will increase her supplies, in order to generate larger profits. She assists her husband with the family expenses and with the children's school fees, while increasing her savings.

In this group: Amy*, Maguette*, Fatou, Ndiarona, Awa, Mbayang, Sokhna, Rouba, Wodji, Faty, Bigue, Faty, Ndiobo , Dial, Anta
