Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $2,400 helped to buy new spring/summer season shoes for his business.

Felison's story

Felison T. was born in 1954. He lives in Yerevan with his wife, his son and his daughter. Felison's children are adults, but they aren’t married and they live with their parents.

Felison graduated Yerevan State Engineering Collage and long ago he was working as an engineer. But over the last seven years, Felison has been engaged in a shoe-trading business.

Felison imports shoes from Turkey and resells them in a rented stall in the Hayrenik market in Yerevan. Felison’s wife helps him in the business and so they support their family.

Felison asks Kiva lenders for a loan of 2,400 US dollars to buy new spring/summer season shoes from Turkey for his business.
