Eva's story

Sra. Eva belongs to the Communal Bank “Los Eucaliptos” (The Eucalyptus) which is in the District of Tarapoto, San Martín Province, Department of San Martín. She is 49 years old, in a common law marriage, and the mother of two dependent children who are in school.

Eva is a strong determined woman who has always been known for her desire to succeed through her own abilities. She started her own business selling “juanes” (a traditional Peruvian dish) outside of her home. Over time she has become well-known among her customers and today she says she is doing very well in her business. Eva also receives orders from a few organizations for different events because her food tastes good. She has been working in her business for several years and is very happy to be doing what she does.

With this loan of 1500 PEN, Eva will buy supplies such as sacks of rice, eggs, native hens for making “juanes”, butchered chickens for making kebobs, and cooking utensils so that she can provide quality service to her customers and pensioners.

Eva M, as she is affectionately called, is very proud of the work she does day after day. She is extremely grateful to Manuela Ramos for contributing toward the completion of her dreams and goals.
