Marceline N. is a merchant, age 40, who lives in Mvugo in the Nyanza-Lac commune (township) in the Makamba province in the south of Burundi. She has been selling food products such as fish in Mvugo for four years. Before beginning this career, she was a farmer. She did not go to school. She is married and the mother of six children, two of whom are in school. She is on her fourth loan cycle with Turame Community Finance.

She is seeking a Kiva loan to increase her working capital to buy many food products to sell to her customers in the hope of achieving big savings and thus growing her business. She hopes to be able to diversify her offerings in the future.

Marceline N. est une commerçante âgée de 40 ans qui habite la localité de Mvugo en commune Nyanza –Lac de la Province de Makamba au Sud du Burundi. Elle fait le commerce de produits alimentaires comme le poisson et autres denrées alimentaires au centre de Mvugo depuis 4ans alors qu’elle était cultivatrice avant de commencer ce métier. Elle n’a pas fréquente l’école. Elle est mariée et mère de 6 enfants dont deux sont a l’école. Elle arrive au 4e cycle dans le crédit Communautaire avec Turame.

Elle demande le crédit Kiva pour accroitre son capital en achetant beaucoup de produits alimentaires a revendre a ses clients dans l’espoir de réaliser de grandes épargnes et ainsi accroitre son business. Elle espère qu’elle pourra diversifier ses articles à commercialiser dans l’avenir.
