A loan of $2,300 helped a member to increase stock of vegetables.


Becham Group's story

Christopher Y., who is in his late thirties, is single with one child. He sells vegetables along Bagamoyo road. He has been in this business for one year. He works for 5 hours a week only, from 6am to 7am daily, and is able make a small monthly profit.

This will be Christopher's 1st loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. He wants a loan to increase his stock of vegetables. He normally buys from farmers and sells to people who pass by his place.

Christopher will share this loan with the 15 members of the Becham group. The members of the group will hold each other accountable in paying back the loan.
