Mercy Viviana's story

Mercy M. is a member of the San Miguel communal bank. She lives in the La Victoria Alta community in Valle parish. This parish is admired for its natural beauty. Its people are very hardworking and devote themselves to business, raising animals, and farming. Mercy is 20 years old, single, and lives with her parents, who have their own house. Her father works as a builder. Mercy has a snack bar in a small local school where she works with her mother. She has been doing this for two years. She works Monday through Friday from 7 in the morning until 1 in the afternoon. After leaving work, she studies, since she is in the second year of the Business Engineering program. This is her fourth loan with the communal bank. Her mother motivated her to join. She will invest the money from her loan in products such as soft drinks, french fries, candy, etc., for her snack bar. Her goal is to finish her studies and become a great professional.
