A loan of $1,100 helped purchase cement, sand, and crushed stone.

Betty's story

Betty is a kind and gentle woman. She is 38 years old and lives in the home that her mother gave her recently. Her husband Walter is 39 years old and her lovely daughter Solhas is 13 years old. What she wants most is to get ahead. For the past eight years, she has been selling beauty products in order to generate good sales. She travels through the streets of the district every afternoon offering her products. Since then, she has become recognized in her neighborhood. At the moment, Betty has birthday parties and other events to visit so she needs to maintain the stock of products at her home. During the relevant seasons she sells clothing, uniforms, school supplies, and other items. This enables her to generate good earnings which she uses to pay for the household expenses and the education of her daughter. She enjoys her business and is convinced that her hard work will help others. Betty will be able to replace the roof of her parents’ house. Afterwards, she will continue with the construction of the second floor of her house so that her daughter will be comfortable and have a better quality of life.

This is her first loan with MFP. Betty says that she trusts the organization and is confident that she will complete all of her payments on time because she wants to receive further assistance. The loan she requested will be used to buy cement, sand, and crushed stone so that she can change the roof from corrugated metal to cement.
