A loan of $2,825 helped a member to increase her stock of food.


Ununio Group's story

Tabu M., who is in her late thirties, is married with two children. She has been selling food in a local place for three years now. She works from 5:00am to mid-day, daily, and is able to make a small monthly profit.

This will be Tabu's 2nd loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loan to expand her food business and has paid back her loan successfully. She hopes for a new loan to further increase her stock of foodstuffs. Her dreams is to improve her children's living conditions and her life.

Tabu will share this loan with her loan group "Ununio", which has a total of 15 members The members of the group will hold each other accountable for repaying the loans.
