A loan of $700 helped purchase materials for making uniforms & business suits.

Elsa Raquel's story

Elsa is 25 years old and was born in the Department of Estelí. She is single and works as a seamstress. Elsa has been in this business for approximately ten years. She started out at the age of 15 by helping her mother. With her own capital, she ultimately generated great demand from her customers. Elsa has designed uniforms for local baseball teams. Her mother taught her how to produce cloth dolls, factory uniforms, costumes for mariachi singers, as well as purses and handbags made of recyclable materials such as leftover jeans. She even designs her own clothing.

Elsa is requesting a loan to buy materials such as high quality fabrics. This will help improve her designs, attract more customers, and result in better quality products. Her future plans include having a successful tailoring shop where she can provide employment to other people. This will allow her to keep up with the increasing demand from her customers.
