A loan of $3,475 helped a member purchasing additional goods for her store for resale at a profit.

Vie Nouvelle Plus Group's story

"Vie Nouvelle Plus" (New Life Plus) is a group of 22 owners of small businesses chaired by Dorange. Its members are jointly liable for loans granted by Kiva to grow their businesses.

Dorange, single and aged 30, runs a clothing stand while taking care of two relatives. She has been in business for many years. Dorange has used seven Hope loans (a DRCongo Microfinance Program) to finance the expanding of her inventory. Due to the high demand in her community, she intends with the next loan to buy still more goods for resale in order to meet clients' demand and generate additional profit. This will help her to achieve her plans to grow the business. It brings in a profit of US$100 per week.

Dorange’s ambition is to purchase goods abroad herself. She is engaged.
