Alejandrina's story

Alejandrina, 51, lives in the city of Oropesa, Cusco province, Peru. Her main activity is making and selling “Chuta” bread; she has her own oven where she makes “Chutas.” Chuta Bread is bread that is particular to the city of Cusco. It is characterized for being giant bread measuring approximately 30cm x 30cm and 4cm thick; it is quite delicious, so much so that tourists like to take samples of it as gifts to their relatives so that they too can taste a bit of the magic that enfolds the imperial city of Cusco.

Alejandrina requires a loan on this occasion to buy ingredients like flour, yeast and many other things.

Alejandrina is a member of Asociación Arariwa’s “RICCHARIY PURIRISUN” communal bank and she’s grateful for the opportunity provided through this means. At the same time, she commits to repay in a timely fashion.
