A loan of $750 helped to buy Andrea-brand shoes through a catalog.

Lorma's story

Lorma Gutiérrez Hernández lives in Chicoasen, in the State of Chiapas, Mexico. She lives with her common-law husband José Gonzales Arévalo and they have two children who are still in their care: 9 year-old Edison and 3 year-old Bridni.

Lorma is investing her loan in buying Andrea-brand shoes from a catalog. She has been in this business for six years and she tells us that it is doing well and has made her good profits since she started.

Lorma started her business through her own creativity since, in order to make income, she needed a business activity that would make her good profits and allow her to get ahead in life with her family which, although small, is important to her.

When she sells products, Lorma also saves so that she can expand her business and one day own her own shoe store. This will enable her to continue working and get ahead in life.

Lorma's wish is to continue working so that she can buy materials and build her own house. This is what she most wishes for. She would also like to be able to provide her children with the best.
